Crypto-assets, leveraged products and foreign exchange carry a high level of risk. You may lose some or all of the capital you commit. Only commit funds you can afford to lose, and read this disclosure in full before making any decision.
1. Purpose of this disclosure
This Risk Disclosure supplements our Terms of Service and summarises material risks associated with using the Valindexo website and platform (the "Platform") and with trading or investing in the instruments the Platform covers. It cannot disclose every risk. You should make your own assessment of whether any activity is suitable for you.
2. Market volatility
Digital assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum have experienced very large and rapid price movements and may do so again. Prices can fall to zero. Foreign exchange and other markets can also move sharply in response to economic data, geopolitical events, central bank decisions and changes in liquidity. Historical price patterns do not reliably predict future movements.
3. Leverage and margin
Where leveraged or margin products are available, small adverse price movements can produce large losses relative to your initial deposit. You may be required to deposit additional funds at short notice, and positions may be closed automatically at a loss. Leverage magnifies both gains and losses.
4. Limitations of automated and AI-based tools
Analytical models, signals and risk indicators are based on assumptions, data quality and statistical methods that can fail. Models can be wrong, can be overfitted to past data, and may not respond appropriately to unprecedented events. Software can contain errors, data feeds can be delayed or incorrect, and connectivity can be interrupted. Automated outputs should never be treated as guaranteed or as a substitute for your own judgement.
5. Illustrative calculators and hypothetical results
Calculators and examples on the Platform, including projected profit figures and time-based scenarios, are hypothetical and illustrative only. They assume simplified inputs, ignore fees, spreads, taxes, slippage and financing costs, and do not reflect actual trading results. Actual outcomes may be materially lower than, or negative compared with, any figure shown. No figure on the Platform is a promise or forecast of returns.
6. Past performance
Any reference to past performance, track records or historical results is provided for information only. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results, and conditions that produced earlier outcomes may not recur.
7. Liquidity and execution
Some markets may become illiquid, particularly during periods of stress, outages or low trading volume. In such conditions you may be unable to exit a position at the price you expect, or at all. Orders may execute at materially different prices from those displayed, and withdrawals or transfers may be delayed.
8. Custody and counterparty risk
Digital assets held with third parties are exposed to the failure, insolvency, fraud or hacking of those parties. Private keys can be lost or stolen, and transactions on blockchain networks are generally irreversible. Regulatory or technical changes may also affect the availability or value of assets.
9. Regulatory, legal and tax considerations
The regulatory treatment of crypto-assets and leveraged products varies and may change. Some products may not be suitable or permitted in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for understanding and complying with the laws that apply to you, including tax reporting obligations, which may be complex and may not be covered by the Platform.
10. Cyber-security and operational risk
No online service is immune from cyber-attacks, phishing, malware or account takeover. Failures of your own devices, networks or credentials may also result in losses. We recommend enabling strong authentication, keeping software up to date and never sharing login details.
11. Third-party content and links
The Platform may contain information from third parties and links to external services. We do not verify all such information and accept no responsibility for third-party platforms, exchanges or service providers.
12. Seek independent advice
